Estimates and prices

How do estimates work?

Text us photos of what you’d like to go, your zip code, and when you’d like us to come. Or give us a call and tell us about it. We reply with a price range. Before we load, we’ll share a price range based on our best estimate, and you only pay for the space actually used.

What if my load is between two sizes?

You pay for the space your items actually take up. A load between two sizes is priced between the two. Before we load, we’ll share a price range based on our best estimate.

How do you measure a load?

By how much of our box truck your items fill, front to back. The sizes are ⅛, ¼, ½, ¾ and full.

Is there tax on your services?

Responsible Disposal is subject to the 3.6% Washington State solid waste tax. It is added after any discount and shown on your invoice. The solid waste tax applies only to Responsible Disposal.

How do I pay?

Payment is due when we finish. We take card, ACH, check, or cash. We can’t make change.

Do I have to sign anything?

Yes. When we arrive, you sign a short form before we start. For a Room Reset, it’s a service agreement. For a Donation Pickup or Responsible Disposal, it’s a release of ownership that confirms the items are ours to take. If a Room Reset includes items leaving with us, you sign both.

Where do you work, and is there a travel charge?

We’re based in Shoreline, WA. We serve the North Seattle area including Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds, Brier, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, and Bothell. Call or text us to check availability in your neighborhood. Any travel charge is quoted before you book.

Room Reset

What is a Room Reset?

Our two-person team works alongside you, in your space, to sort what stays and what goes.

How much time should I book?

The time it takes to reset your space depends on the size of the room, the amount of items to go through and the location in your home. Sending us pictures of your space and a description of what needs to be done can help us give you a better estimate.

What if I need more time?

If you’d like more time after your booked Room Reset, we can keep going that same day at $50 per half hour, as long as our schedule allows. If we can’t stay, we’ll book a return visit with a 2-hour minimum ($200), then $50 per half hour after that. You pay at the end of each visit for the time we worked.

How much does a Room Reset cost?

Every Room Reset starts with a 3-hour block at $300. After the first 3 hours, $50 per half hour ($100 per hour).

Can I add a pickup to a Room Reset?

Yes. When you book a Room Reset, save 20% on every Donation Pickup and Responsible Disposal, for everything we take away.

What we take

Can I mix donations and disposal in one visit?

Mixed loads are fine. We sort as we load: items in good shape count toward donations, and anything worn out or broken counts toward Responsible Disposal. Each part is priced by the space it takes up.

What condition do donated items need to be in?

Usable and in good shape. Items that are damaged, ripped, heavily scratched, heavily worn, stained, or have odors may be priced as Responsible Disposal. We decide the condition of each item on site.

What can’t you take?

We can’t take very heavy or bulky items such as pianos, large entertainment centers and TV cabinets, china hutches, and large desks. We also can’t take large appliances or hazardous materials such as paint and chemicals.

Do you do junk removal?

Yes. Responsible Disposal is our junk removal service for items that can’t be rehomed. We sort as we load, so anything in good shape is rehomed or donated first.

Where your things go

Where do my items go?

We rehome first, donate next, and dispose last. Items in good shape get a second life, through neighbors and local charities.

Can I get a receipt for a tax deduction?

We’re a for-profit business, not a 501(c)(3) charity, so we can’t provide tax-deductible donation receipts.
